A stunning line-up of 'free-to-see' speakers will feature on all three days of the Hi-Fi News Show 2006 at the venue's York Theatre. It includes legends of the British hi-fi scene such as the inimitable Ivor Tiefenbrun of Linn with the legendary Bob Stuart of Meridian also set to give his thoughts on all things audio. In addition audio guru Russ Andrews will be there to give advice and answers on all things hi-fi.
The other keynote speakers include the famous speaker designer Karl-Heinz Fink and in addition Hi-Fi News' Senior Contributing Editor Ken Kessler and our Technical Director Paul Miller will be giving exclusive demos of the very best in audio and AV.
To give a truly international flavour to the show we have also signed up a number of top names from the US who'll be speaking at the Hi-Fi News Show. These include one of the doyens of loudspeaker design - David Wilson of Wilson Audio, plus Kevin Halverson of Muse and the hugely entertaining Michael Fremer.
David Wilson is preparing a special talk about "High-End at the Crossroads." He will provide an historical perspective and speak on the challenges high-end audio currently faces. David will also be available to take a Q&A session after speaking.
Kevin Halverson, CEO of Muse Electronics, Inc. is going to share his thoughts about the new high-definition formats. Muse was one of the first to join Classic Records in launching the playback of high-definition CDs, and the company produces one of the most highly respected universal players available today.
Hi-Fi News columnist Michael Fremer is flying in from the USA to give what is effectively a live performance of his new DVD, 21st Century Vinyl. Michael was and remains the world's Number One campaigner for the absolute quality of LP playback, and he has played no small part in the format's survival. His new DVD shares his set-up tips, helping the committed music lover to extract even greater pleasure from black vinyl records.

The talks will start at 11.00am each day and be located in the York Theatre. A full time-table will be available in the SHOWGUIDE available free to all visitors.

JOHAN COORG
Johan Coorg owns some 2500 LPs, 3000 CDs and 900 DVDs. He currently works for KEF and will be discussing the huge changes that have taken place over the last 50 years in the way people listen to music and the challenges this presents to loudspeaker manufacturers.

RUSS ANDREWS

Hear Barry spill some secrets that the manufactuers aren't telling. Ask whatever questions you like and get straight unbiassed answers.
